Overview of Security Council Press Statements
Condemned continuing attacks on UNDOF positions. Condemned the detention of 44 Fijian peacekeepers by armed opposition groups and 40 Filipino peacekeepers surrounded by armed opposition groups and demanded their immediate and unconditional release as well as safe passage. Welcomed news that 32 Filipino peacekeepers were extricated to safety.
