The semi-annual report of the UN Office in West Africa (UNOWA) is expected in June. The mandate expires on 31 December 2010.

The Council is expected to receive a letter from the Secretary-General advising his intention to extend the mandate of the UN Office in West Africa (UNOWA), due to expire on 31 December (perhaps for another three years). The Council is unlikely to meet on this issue.

The Council is expected to adopt a presidential statement on peace consolidation in West Africa, following the open debate scheduled for 9 August.
