17 December 2021 S/RES/2610 This resolution renewed and updated the 1267/1989/2253 ISIL (Da’esh) & Al-Qaida sanctions regime.
15 December 2021 S/RES/2609 This resolution renewed the mandate of UNISFA until 15 May 2022.
3 December 2021 S/RES/2608 This renewed the anti-piracy measures off the coast of Somalia for three months.
15 November 2021 S/RES/2607 This resolution renewed for one year the partial lifting of the arms embargo on Somali security forces; the authorisation for maritime interdiction to enforce the embargo on illicit arms imports, charcoal exports, and IED components; and humanitarian exemptions to the regime. The resolution received 13 votes in favour and two abstentions (China and Russia).
15 November 2021 S/RES/2606 This was a technical rollover resolution extending the mandate of UNISFA until 15 December 2021.
12 November 2021 S/RES/2605 This resolution renewed MINUSCA’s mandate for another 12 months. Thirteen Council members voted in favour, while China and Russia abstained.
3 November 2021 S/RES/2604 This resolution renewed the authorisation of the EU-led multinational stabilisation force (EUFOR ALTHEA) for another year, until 3 November 2022. At the debate, several Council members, including Norway and Estonia, expressed regret that the Security Council failed to adopt a more substantial resolution
29 October 2021 S/RES/2603 This renewed the mandate of the UN Verification Mission in Colombia for another year, until 31 October 2022.
29 October 2021 S/RES/2602 This resolution renewed the mandate of the UN Mission for the Referendum on Western Sahara (MINURSO) for another year, until 31 October 2022. The resolution received 13 votes in favour and two abstentions (Russia and Tunisia).
29 October 2021 S/RES/2601 This resolution condemned attacks and threats of attack against schools, educational facilities and civilians connected with schools. It further emphasised the need to facilitate the continuation of education in situations of armed conflict. It was co-sponsored by 99 member states.
15 October 2021 S/RES/2600 This resolution renewed the mandate of the UN Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) for nine months, until 15 July 2022. It also requested the Secretary-General to conduct an assessment of BINUH’s mandate within six months of the resolution’s adoption.
30 September 2021 S/RES/2599 This resolution extended the mandate of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) until 31 January 2022. The text, which was unanimously adopted, was a technical renewal of UNSMIL’s mandate as set out in resolution 2542 of 15 September 2020 and paragraph 16 of resolution 2570 of 16 April 2021.
29 September 2021 S/RES/2598 This resolution renewed for another year the authorisation for member states to inspect vessels on the high seas off the coast of Libya that they have reasonable grounds to believe are being used for migrant smuggling or human trafficking.
17 September 2021 S/RES/2597 This resolution renewed the mandate of UNITAD until 17 September 2022.
17 September 2021 S/RES/2596 This resolution extended the mandate of UNAMA until 17 March 2022.
